Welcome to Grace Baptist Church of the Ozarks. Our sole focus is to preach Jesus Christ and him crucified (1 Corinthians 2:2). This is what God has called his church to do in this world. Therefore, knowing that the days are evil (Ephesians 5:16), we preach Christ that grace may be ministered to the hearers (Ephesians 4:29). This may seem simplistic and naïve to some (1 Corinthians 1:18), but the scriptures reveal that Christ preached Christ to his disciples (Luke 24:27, 44-48). In good times we preach Christ. In bad times we preach Christ. There is no other hope for sinners, and no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Everyone here is a sinner, unable to work a righteousness for ourselves. We were all dead in trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2:1) before the gift of faith was revealed in us by his grace (Ephesians 2:8). We come to hear the glories of Christ who died to redeem (purchase) his chosen, elect people with his blood (Ephesians 1:4-7). Christ accomplished the will of his Father who sent him. God did not spare his Son that the children of promise would be saved by Christ’s righteousness and eternal redemption. None for whom he died is lost (Isaiah 53:11, John 19:30). By his sacrifice, he made them his own inheritance. Through the gospel, he is calling his people out of darkness and the bondage of sin and death (Isaiah 49:9). There is only one message, one hope, one Savior. These all are found in the Lord Jesus Christ. By his grace, we go through the scriptures revealing his gospel of grace to sinners. We preach his grace knowing he effectually calls his lost sheep to himself by the power and glory of the Holy Ghost. He cannot fail to give spiritual life to whom he will, for our Savior is a successful Savior (1 Corinthians 2:4-5).
